American Idol Judges Pause from
Finding the Next Pop Sensation
to Support Get Hands On

March 21, 2006
Get Hands On went to the set of "American
Idol" where the judges pushed up their
sleeves and rolled on the pink paint.  Simon
Cowell , notorious for his blunt comments to
contestants, showcased his softer side, while
Randy Jackson carefully removed his "bling"
before getting hands on. Fellow judge Paula
Abdul showed her support for a cause close
to her heart.  Abdul's sister suffered from
breast cancer and she has since been a
supporter of the United Cancer Front.

While we know them today as  television's
favorite critics, all three of "Idol's" judges
have had varied and successful  music
careers. Simon Cowell has not only worked
to make "Idol" the number one show in
America, but the acts he has produced have
sold over 100 million albums and have had 50
number one records. Randy Jackson is a
Grammy Award-winning producer. He has
worked with the likes of Mariah Carey,
Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Madonna
and has contributed on albums that have
sold more than 200 million copies. Paula
Abdul had a tremendously successful pop
career of her own. She has sold 30 million
records, recorded two #1 records, and won a
Grammy Award.
